Activities

  • Gathers database information about club members (birthdays, anniversaries, sponse name, number of grandchildren, etc.).
  • Monitors media for accomplishments of Rotarians and sends congratulations.
  • Establishes a point of contact when a club member hears of a concern about a member (illness or death).
  • Develop a plan to inform members upon a death/illness of a between meetings.
  • Develop a regular schedule of contact and involvement with surviving spouses (newsletters, invitation to special events, subscriptions to Rotarian or regional magazines.
  • Plan family holiday party.
  • Plan an annual memorial to recognize deceased Rotarians and/or spouses.
  • Maintain a liasion with the membership committee to develop and share common goals.
  • Set up a greeter program for club meeings where regular greeters are absent.
  • Recommend to the board, and champion a budget item for flowers and cards.
  • Plan at least one club family event each year.
  • Invite family members to participate in service projects, fundraising activities and special club actvities.
  • Encourage program committee to schedule meetings at Rotarians' businesses and invite spouses.
  • Work with club president on meeting Family of Rotary requirements for the Presidential Citation.
  • Send club success stories to Family of Rotary district chair and to other clubs.
  • Survey membership regarding fellowship needs.
