FRITZ COHEN introduced Purdue Women's Swim Coach, John Klinge, who was a swimmer at Purdue and is now back in his fifth month as Head Coach. Purdue has one of the finest facilities in the country. The swimming needs to improve. John introduced the staff and described the swimmer's year, including the daily schedule for swimming and exercise. He wants to promote a culture of excellence, work ethic, academics and athletics and team building. The students came up with the recruiting criteria, calling it Purdue "FIT", standing for fast, intelligent, talented, tough, and team oriented. The team and staff are instituting new traditions to reward student swimmers who embody the core values they all strive to exhibit. |
