♦ JAYNE FEATHERS announced that Lafayette Carpet Cleaning has graciously
cleaned the backpacks, making them spiffy for the kids this year. She also wants
you to know that the security clearance form needed for all volunteers (even if
you had one last year) is available at JANE'S table or by download
here . It should be
sent to Miami Elementary School and there is no cost.

♦ TOM MORAN asked members to seriously consider being a team sponsor
($124) for the Gus Macker Tournament. To make this tournament a success all
of us are going to have to pitch in. The $124 is tax deductible if your check is
made payable to the Lafayette Rotary Club Foundation. It does not qualify for
Golden Service recognition.

♦ A farewell party for Dan Guildenbacher is planned for Wednesday, September
16th from 5-6:30 at the Habitat for Humanity office. It will be an open house
format. No agenda - just food and chit-chat. All Rotarians involved with Gus
Macker the past three years appreciate Dan's hard work and have the
opportunity to send him off to Germany with best wishes.
