Our Rotary service to our community and to the world starts by our Reach Within to Embrace Humanity. This 2011-12 Rotary International theme inspires Rotarians to start within ourselves to make new personal discoveries, and to develop our strengths to make a difference in the lives of people
. We embrace this concept as members of the Lafayette Rotary Club. Our overarching club objective this year is represented by the acronym SURF. In a spirit of Service above self, yoU make a difference through Relevant actions and through support of our Rotary Foundations.

With nearly 200 members, our club operates a backpack program that provides weekend and holiday food for as many as 120 children in a local elementary school. We also reach out to others in our community though womens’ shelter boxes, efforts on behalf of missing children, camperships and scholarships to high school and two-year college students. We partner with other clubs with support from Rotary International to connect with the world through exchange programs and signature International projects.

You’re invited to explore our website to learn more about our club and about Rotary. We hope to hear from you very soon.
